Namecheap is one of the really cheap VPS provider hosting companies. I have used Namecheap VPS for my site based on which I am writing this review.
Namecheap VPS Review
Namecheap offers a FREE DOMAIN NAME with each of their VPS hosting plans.
They are only offering two VPS hosting plans – Pulsar and Quasar. On their site, you can see exactly what they are offering in each of these plans.
This plan starts at $14.88 per month.
- 2 CPU Cores
- 2 GB RAM
- 40 GB SSD RAID 10
- 1000 GB/mo Bandwidth
- 1 dedicated IP.
You can place an order for addons with your VPS order which will increase the price. If you need extra dedicated IP’s you don’t need to upgrade the plan i.e Namecheap will add extra IP-s to your server for only $2 each.
This plan starts at $24.88 per month with additional resources than Pulsar Plan.
- 4 CPU Cores
- 6 GB RAM
- 120 GB SSD RAID 10
- 3000 GB/mo Bandwidth
The starter plans aren’t managed, for instance, and they don’t include a cPanel license. Adding both of those things will cost you an extra $36 a month.
Still, Namecheap does provide configurable VPS products for users who know what they’re doing. Please check given link to know more about VPS options provided by Namecheap.
It’s okay to buy a VPS from Namecheap if you know how to manage the server.
These companies lack the technical support and the employees have set patterns of premade template replies for clients. Now basically, because of the size of the company, they can’t personally assist each client for the issue. If the issue is from their list of generic issues then it will get resolved, otherwise, be ready to pay a good sum for upgrades or getting a freelancer server admin to look into the issue.
If you have good server management knowledge then you can go for a Namecheap VPS plan as they provide VPS for less and you can manage it as per your requirements.
